    Application fee of $40.00

WHEN TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION
ROLLING ADMISSION

Cornish College practices Rolling Admission, meaning you can apply at anytime during the year and schedule your audition or review for the next available date.

In order to protect the integrity and quality of instruction, most majors have limits on the number of new students, both freshman and transfer, they can take in each year. An Admission Counselor can tell you at any time the availability of space in the major you are interested in and the best way to complete an application and an audition or portfolio review.

PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINES
While you are welcome to apply at anytime, there is a priority deadline of March 1 for Fall Admission to receive maximum consideration for admission and scholarships. Students who submit a complete application by March 1 and complete their audition or portfolio review by early March will receive first consideration for admission into their chosen major and for need, merit, and talent based scholarships.

SCHEDULING AN AUDITION OR PORTFOLIO REVIEW
Call the Office of Admission at 206.726.5016 or 800.726.ARTS to schedule your audition or review. All auditions and reviews are by appointment, except for those at National Portfolio Days and the Unified Theater Auditions. You may schedule your audition or review in advance, but your Application for Admission must be complete by the time of your appointment.

DATES AND TIMES
Auditions and Portfolio Reviews are available monthly on-campus between November and August. Off campus dates are nearly year-round, but vary by department. A complete on and off campus schedule is available from the Office of Admission by calling 800.726.5016 or by visiting www.cornish.edu/admissions/review_dates.htm.

PREPARATION FOR YOUR AUDITION OR PORTFOLIO REVIEW
Each department has specific requirements. Find the section for the department you are interested at www.cornish.edu/admissions/auditions_reviews.htm and read the instructions carefully. If you have any questions please call the Office of Admission. We also have a printed guide with complete instructions we can mail to you.

AUDITIONING OR REVIEWING IN PERSON
We highly recommend you conduct your audition or review in person. We make many dates and times available on and off campus to make this easier for you. If you cannot attend any of the available on or off campus dates each department has a procedure to submit materials for review by mail. This may include video tapes, DVDs, CDs, or slides. You can review the instructions for your department at www.cornish.edu/admissions/auditions_reviews.htm.

TRANSFER ADMISSION
Students who have completed a minimum of one college course, other than through a program such as Washington State's Running Start Program, are considered Transfer Applicants. Transfer Applicants complete the same Application for Admission and audition or review as described above. Transferability of credit is based upon both a review of your college transcripts and your audition or portfolio review.

RUNNING START STUDENTS
Washington State students who have taken Running Start classes, or students from other states with a similar dual-enrollment or "college in the high school" program apply to Cornish College as a freshman. To receive credit for your college level work you must submit transcripts from the college or university that conducted the courses.

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Cornish College of the Arts maintains a comprehensive financial aid program that all applicants are welcomed and encouraged to apply for. The types of aid available to those who qualify include: Cornish Scholarships (need, merit, and talent based), state and federal grants, educational loans, and work-study employment. To apply for financial aid you must submit the FAFSA and Cornish Aid Application. Priority in awarding of aid is given to those who apply for admission and financial aid by the priority deadline of February 1.
