Additional information for Distance Education Applicants
Please note:

The Distance Education Programs is only available for those students living in the North American continent.  Students must be proficient in English.

  A complete application file consists of:

  • Application
  • Official high school transcript
  • Official test scores from SAT or ACT
  • Official transcripts from each college attended whether or not any credits were earned
  • Portfolio materials (essay and two letters of recommendation) if petitioning for special admission.

Admissions Timeline

The Office of Admissions accepts undergraduate application year-round; however, we recommend that you apply well in advance of the term you plan to enter.  All application materials (application fee, all official transcripts and official test scores) must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the Friday before classes begin. Students submitting portfolio materials should do so 30 days prior to the beginning of the desired term of attendance.  Graduate students are required to have all application materials to the Office of Admissions by May 1.

Transcripts

Applicants are responsible for requesting official transcripts from the appropriate institutions as defined below.  A transcript is considered “official” if it bears the official seal and authorizing signature of the issuing institution and is:
  • Sent directly by the school to the Office of Admissions or
  • Sealed by the school and mailed or delivered to Admissions by you.
 

High School Transcript

All students graduating from high school 1997 or later must submit a high school transcript.  

College Transcripts

The student must request that every college or university they have ever attended (whether or not credits were earned) send official transcripts to the Office of Admissions.  Students who do not fully disclose their educational history could be subject to dismissal from the University.  

ACT/SAT Test Scores

Test scores are official if they are:
  • Send directly from the testing agency to EOU or
  • Send directly from the high school or
  • Student provides a legible photocopy of score report
