Application Instructions


Admission Requirements
Prior to enrolling at LaGrange College, students are expected to have completed a standard college preparatory curriculum and all requirements for graduation from an approved high school.

Freshman students may apply for admission to LaGrange College by sending the following information to the Office of Admission:
  • Completed application form
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Non-refundable $20.00 application fee, payable on-line at the end of the application
  • Admission essay
  • Official high school and/or college transcript(s)

Transfer students who have earned at least 40 quarter or 27 semester hours of credit should provide the following items:
  • Completed application form
  • Non-refundable $20.00 application fee, payable on-line at the end of the application
  • Official transcripts of all college work
  • Admission essay
  • Letter of recommendation (optional)
Transfer students with fewer than 40 quarter or 27 semester hours of earned credit must submit the following additional information:
  • Official high school transcripts
  • Official standardized test scores

Home-schooled students are encouraged to apply for admission. In addition to the items requested for freshman admission, home-schooled students are asked to provide the following information:
  • Bibliography of all high school literature, including instructional texts
  • Two letters of recommendation, with at least one from outside the home

Adult students who wish to continue their education at night at LaGrange College can do so through our specially designed Evening College. Prospective applicants should contact the Evening College Office at 706-880-8298 for further information on programs and available majors.

International students should provide the following items with this application:
  • Translated transcriptions of all academic coursework at the secondary or university level, including standardized exams such as GCE, GSCE, CXC, etc.
  • Official results from approved English proficiency examinations, such as the TOEFL
  • A letter of support from your parent or sponsor, indicating an ability and willingness to pay the full college cost This letter should include documentation of ability to pay from your parent or sponsor's primary financial institution.
  • Non-refundable $20.00 application fee, payable on-line at the end of the application
  • Admission essay
  • SAT or ACT examinations are encouraged but not required of applicants whose entire high school and college education has taken place outside the United States.
  • In addition to sending official records to LaGrange College, you must submit any post-secondary or university records to an agency such as World Education Services or Joseph Silny for credit evaluation.
