Instructions for Non-Degree Application

If you wish to take a few courses without becoming a candidate for a degree, you may be admitted as a non-degree student. You must present evidence that you are qualified to enroll in courses and must progress satisfactorily in your work.

A non-degree student is generally limited to enrolling in a maximum of seven credit hours per semester during the fall and spring semesters, and is generally limited to enrolling in no more than four credit hours during the summer session. A student may apply no more than 18 semester hours of work completed as a non-degree student toward an undergraduate degree at Purdue University.

A personal interview with a member of the Office of Admissions staff prior to admission as a non-degree student is strongly encouraged. All course work taken in non-degree status will be reviewed for applicability prior to admission to a degree program.

If you have been previously enrolled in another institution, you must be in good scholastic standing prior to enrollment at Purdue North Central. Use the special application for non-degree students.

APPLICATION FEE  There is no admission fee.
