We recommend that you keep a photocopy of all admission materials that you submit. A $35 non-refundable application fee must be submitted on a secure server along with the online application form. An applicant requesting a fee waiver should contact her guidance counselor for a letter of waiver or complete and return the College Board's fee waiver request form.

First-year Admission
Early Decision/First Choice - November 15
If, after careful consideration, Agnes Scott is your first choice,
apply under this plan. If accepted, you are expected to withdraw
applications from all other colleges. Early Decision applicants
should submit all application materials by November 15; we will
mail decisions by December 15. If your application cannot be
accepted for admission under Early Decision, we may ask for
further supporting materials and reconsider your application for
Regular Decision. Early Decision applicants will be considered for
any merit scholarships and awards for which they may be eligible.
Scholarship Decision - January 15
Agnes Scott offers a variety of merit-based scholarships and
awards. To qualify you must have a strong academic background
and proven leadership skills. You must submit the online application form and
have all supplemental materials postmarked by January 15. Notification of acceptance will
be mailed January 25.
Regular Decision - March 1
Applicants for Regular Decision should forward all application
materials by the priority deadline of March 1; notification of
acceptance begins March 1. Applications received after March 1
will be notified of acceptance on a rolling basis (within three
weeks of receipt of completed application).
Transfer Admission
Agnes Scott welcomes applications from transfer students,
including graduates of two-year colleges. Applicants are admitted
on the basis of academic and personal achievement. Applications
should be completed by March 1 for the fall semester and by
November 1 for the spring semester.
In order to evaluate courses for transfer credit, we must receive official transcripts from all colleges attended. Please have your professor recommendation completed by a professor you have had during your most recent coursework.
Notification of acceptance will be within three weeks of receiving your completed application.
International Students
Agnes Scott accepts applications from non-immigrant alien
students in accordance with federal regulations. Students must
have satisfactorily completed a course of study equivalent to
that required of U.S. applicants, must be proficient in the
English language, and must provide verification of the ability
to pay without having to work off campus.
International students are eligible for merit scholarships. Other financial assistance is available as determined by the International Student Financial Aid Form.
Visits & Interviews
Agnes Scott welcomes visitors each Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.- 4:
30 p.m. and on selected Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
during the academic year. Overnights, class attendance, a tour
of the campus, or an appointment with a professor can be
arranged on an individual basis.* Advance appointments are
encouraged and can be made by contacting the Office of
Admission at least one week prior to visiting.
Housing
All traditional students (first-year and transfer) are required to
live on campus if parents/guardians do not reside in the Atlanta
area. Exceptions must be approved by the Dean of Students.

Standardized tests
Please take all tests before the deadline of the application plan
you have chosen. You are required to take either the ACT or
the SAT I. SAT II: Subject Tests are optional unless you have
completed a non-traditional high school curriculum. You may
obtain information about these tests from your college counselor
or directly from the testing bureaus. For information about

It is recommended that you register for the required tests as soon as possible and request that an official score report be sent to Agnes Scott College. The CEEB number for Agnes Scott is 5002; the ACT code number is 0780.
If you are an international student whose primary language is not English, or your primary language is not English and you have resided in the U.S. for less than four years, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB). Please have your score sent directly to us.
*Although they are not required, admission interviews are strongly recommended in the evaluation of candidates for admission.
