The Selection Process
Admission to Brescia is personal, like the school itself. Each interested student is assigned an admission counselor, who will answer your questions, arrange campus visits, and make sure that your concerns and needs are being addressed.
Applications to Brescia are reviewed on an individual basis. Admission to the college is rolling, which means you will be informed of the results of the review soon after applying. Grades and coursework receive strong consideration. University preparatory and college liberal arts courses are recommended. Standardized test scores, personal qualities, and achievements are also taken into consideration.
The Application Process
Brescia University makes admissions decisions on a rolling basis. This means that as soon as your file is complete a decision will be made regarding your acceptance.
- Application Form
If you are applying as a non-degree seeking student, transient (visiting) student, summer-session-only or intersession-only student, you will need to contact the Admissions Office and request the Non-Degree Application Form.
If you are applying to one of the graduate programs, you will need to contact the Admissions Office and request the Graduate Application Form.
- Application Fee
A non-refundable fee of $25 (payable with credit card or electronic check) must be submitted along with the completed online application form.
- Transcript
Freshmen students: Request that your official high school transcript be sent from your high school to the Admissions Office. Ask that this transcript include your GPA, test scores, and date of graduation. If you are a senior applying before graduation, have an initial transcript sent so that an admissions decision can be made. Be sure to have a final transcript sent after your high school graduation. If you are a GED holder, please have an official certificate and scores sent to the Admissions Office.
Transfer students: Request that your official transcripts be sent from all colleges/universities that you attended as well as from your high school. If you are a GED holder, please have an official certificate and scores sent to the Admissions Office. If you are still enrolled in a college/university, request that an official transcript be sent now so that a decision regarding acceptance can be made. After you have completed the semester, request that a final official transcript be sent.
- Test Scores
If you are an incoming freshman, who has been out of high school less than three years, you will need to have official ACT or SAT scores sent. If these appear on the high school transcript, you will not need to request an additional copy. ACT or SAT scores are not required if your high school class graduated more than three years prior to your application date.
- Recommendation
All applicants are required to have at least one recommendation. If you are applying as an incoming freshman, presently in high school or out of school less than three years, please have a former teacher complete the Teacher Recommendation Form. If you are applying more than three years out of high school, please have an employer or someone who knows you in a professional way, complete the Recommendation Form. In either case, please read the Student Statement of Confidentiality on the form and sign if you agree to the terms.
- Essay
You will need to answer one of the questions listed on the final page of your application.
