To Apply to Cincinnati Bible Seminary, Please Complete the Following Steps:
International Student applications have different requirements. Please call 1.800.347.4723 or email seminary@cincybible.edu for an application.
- Complete and sign the application for admission. A $35.00 non-refundable
application fee and one small photograph (an offical passport photo
or a formal portrait is not necessary) must also be sent along with the application.
- The admissions office must receive official transcripts of all college and
graduate credits completed by the applicant. Colleges and universities require
a written request by the applicant in order to release transcripts. Please have
all transcripts sent directly to the CBC&S admissions office.
- The top portion of each recommendation questionnaire must be completed
by the applicant. After doing so, please mail or give it to the person you have
chosen to fill it out on your behalf. All applicants must submit three recommendations
including one from the student's home minister, one from an academic reference
or a current employer, and one from a personl reference. All recommendation questionnaires
should be sent directly to the admissions office by the persons who complete
them. Applicants involved in vocational ministry should ask another minister for
the home minister reference.

- The deadline for admission into CBS is August 10 for the fall semester
and December 10 for the spring semester. An exception to this deadline
may be made in certain circumstances. However, any applicant who applices after
the deadline must apply in person and have the application fee, photograph, and
an official copy of all academic transcripts in hand. Hand-carried transcripts
are only accepted if they bear the official school seal, are signed by an authorized
school official, and are in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution. Once
classes begin, no exceptions will be made.
Degree Program and Concentration
Master of Divinity - 90 hours
Master of Arts in Counseling - 75 hours
- All application components must be in by March 1st.
- New applicants are only accepted in the fall semester.
- Competitive Program. Only 15 new students are accepted per year and there is a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Master of Ministry - 60 hours
- Available only to those with a Bachelor's Degree does not include 30 or more
hours in Bible and / or Theology.
Master of Arts - 36 hours
- Available only to those whose Bachelor's Degree includes 30 or more hours in
Bible and / or Theology.
Financial Aid
We encourage all students to apply for any and all financial aid and scholarships.
In order to borrow money, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
must be completed. We suggest you complete it by June 1. Forms and information
can be obtained in our financial office or on the web at http://fafsa.ed.gov
or http://www.cincybible.edu.

CBS awards scholarships and grants each year to qualified full and half-time
students enrolled in degree programs of the Seminary. Scholarships and grants
are administered through the Financial Aid Office. Scholarship applications
and all admissions requirements must be received by May 1.
