Undergraduate Transfer Applicant
A transfer student is any student who has attended a college or university and earned 12 semester or 18 quarter hours. Students who have earned 12 semester or 18 quarter hours as a high school dual enrollee should apply as a freshman entering college for the first time.
Transfer applicants who have less than 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of transferable credit must submit the following documents to be considered for admission to Florida A&M University.
- Undergraduate Application for Admission.
- A non-refundable application fee of $35.00.
- An official high school transcript(s) reflecting work completed form the beginning of grade nine through grade twelve, with the date of graduation and/or GED results.
- Official transcripts from all colleges and/or universities attended showing the student has maintained at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- SAT1 and/or ACT scores.
Transfer applicants who have at least 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of transferable credit must submit the following documents to be considered for admission to Florida A&M University.
- Undergraduate Application for Admission.
- A non-refundable application fee of $35.00.
- Official transcripts from all colleges and/or universities attended showing the student has maintained at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
Transfer applicants who have received an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida community college prior to transferring and have applied to a non-limited access program will be admitted to the University, provided an application and all supporting documents have been received by the application deadline. Admission is not guaranteed to programs designated as limited access.
Transfer applicants, with an Associates of Arts degree, who matriculate to a four-year institution of higher learning and fail to maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) then returns to a community college and earn at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in additional courses are not eligible to transfer to Florida A&M University.
