Hanover College: Freshman Application for Admission and Financial Assistance

Your application for admission will be complete and ready for review when the following items have been received:

  1. Completed application
  2. Secondary School Report Form (Submit the form to your guidance counselor and ask that he/she return that form to Hanover College with your official transcript, including your senior course schedule)
  3. All SAT-I and/or ACT results (Scores present on a high school transcript or from the SAT/ACT testing service are acceptable)
  4. Essay
  5. $35 application fee payable to Hanover College (fee is waived if completing the online application)

This application is for Freshman applicants only. If you are a transfer student or International/Exchange student, you need to fill out the Transfer Student Application or the International/Exchange Student Application.

Admission Priority Dates:

Early Admission (non-binding): Candidates whose applications are complete by December 1 will be notified of the college's admission decision by December 20 (Some applicants may be deferred to the Regular Admission period in order for the college to receive additional information).

Regular Decision: After the Early Admission period, the college will begin reviewing completed applications and mailing admission decisions on a rolling basis after January 15. The Regular Decision period will continue until April 1. After April 1, applications will be considered on a "space available" basis only.

Scholarship Priority Dates:

All students applying for admission to Hanover College will be automatically considered for merit-based academic scholarships. In order to receive consideration for the full range of all available scholarships, students must have submitted a complete application by January 15.

Housing and L.E.A.P. (Learning Engage And Prepare) - Priority Consideration

Students who have been admitted and submit an enrollment deposit by March 1 will have priority consideration for early spring L.E.A.P. sessions and freshman housing. L.E.A.P. is the pre-registration process every student participates in prior to actually enrolling in courses at Hanover.
