FINANCIAL AID INSTRUCTIONS

If you are planning to apply for admission to Harvey Mudd College, are a United States citizen or permanent resident, and think you will need financial assistance to attend, we encourage you to apply for financial aid. The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required of all applicants for financial aid. Please note the following steps for filing the PROFILE and FAFSA. (We encourage you to apply online.):

Step 2:
CSS will send you a customized PROFILE application packet within 10 days of your telephone call. Please allow enough time to meet the PROFILE deadline.

Step 3:
Complete the customized PROFILE application packet and mail it back in the envelope provided to CSS for processing and reporting information to the colleges you listed on your Registration Form.

Step 4:
Obtain a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online or from your high school guidance office and complete/mail it no earlier than January 1 and not later than February 1. The FAFSA is required to determine eligibility for federal financial aid programs.
