GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING AN OFFICIAL MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY APPLICATION:
- If you are applying for a faculty or administrator position, your complete package includes:
- A completed official Marymount University application
- Your curriculum vitae or résumé (optional)
- Additional requirements may be listed in the vacancy advertisement
- A complete set of official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended must be received from those institutions before you are placed on the payroll and Marymount University issues your first pay.
If you are applying for a staff position, your complete package includes:
- A completed official Marymount University application
- Your résumé (optional)
- Additional requirements may be listed in the vacancy advertisement
- Enter on the application the specific position by name and number for which you are applying. Please provide a complete and separate application for each position applied for.
- Complete all sections of the application. Document "not applicable" where appropriate. All applicants should include salary of all previous positions, reason for leaving, names and title of supervisors and complete addresses of prior employers. If your work history includes
more than four previous employers, supplemental materials may be submitted in the free form area on application or by e-mail attachment. Omissions and/or discrepancies may constitute denial of employment consideration. Résumé, vitae, and cover letters may not be submitted in lieu of completing any section of the Marymount University employment application.
- Upon receipt, a post card confirmation will be sent to you. Supplemental materials sent by e-mail attachment or fax must include a brief cover letter with the name and number of the position for which you are applying and a contact phone number.
- Salary information is not disclosed until the interview stage with the department. You will be contacted after the position has been closed or filled.
- Within three days of employment, an individual must provide documents that establish proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States. The I-9 form that lists the acceptable documents and additional information about authorization to work in the United States are available from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) by calling 1-800-755-0777 or you can visit the INS website to download the I-9 form at http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/.
