Instructions for Online Admission Application

New Students

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Submit SAT or ACT scores (if you took either test in high school, the scores should be listed on your high school transcript). If you do not have SAT or ACT scores, please contact an admissions counselor to make an appointment to take the ASSET or COMPASS course placement exam. Call 803-535-1224 or email info@octech.edu
  3. Request an official copy of your high school transcript to be mailed directly to the Office of Admissions. Applicants who possess a GED should submit official assessment or GED scores. Click here to download the Transcript Request form.

Transfer Students

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Request that official copies of college transcripts from all colleges that you have attended be mailed directly to the Office of Admissions at OCtech. Click here to download the Transcript Request form.
  3. Transfer students who have successfully completed freshman English and math courses may be exempt from taking one of the college course placement exams. (ASSET/COMPASS).

Transient (Visiting) Students

Students enrolled at another college who plan to enroll in courses at OCtech must complete the online application for admission as well as submit one of the following: a transient form from the Registrar's office of the home institution or an official transcript from the home institution

Re-Admit Students

If you have not attended OCtech within the last two terms, or if you have graduated, you must complete a new application for admission.

Programs with Limited Enrollment

Students applying for admission to health sciences and nursing programs must meet specific admissions requirements in addition to general college admissions requirements. Specific program admissions requirements may be obtained from the Office of Admissions or click here.
