Application Checklist

General Information

All applicants must complete an Application for Admission. Complete all items on the application and sign it. All requested information must be provided to the College prior to enrollment. If you are a resident of Virginia, also complete Section A of the In-State Educational Tuition Privileges Form. Section B must be completed by your parent or guardian, if you are under 19 or are considered a dependent, or by your spouse, if you are married. Kentucky residents who live in Breathitt, Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Perry, or Pike Counties should apply for a Kentucky Tuition Assistance Grant. Appropriate forms ( K-TAG) will be mailed to you for completion.

The following must accompany your Application for Admission according to your student status as described below. $25.00 non-refundable fee processing fee to be paid via secure server Scores earned on the College Entrance Examination Board. Scores must be sent directly from your high school counselor or testing organization to our Office of Admissions. An official transcript of all work completed. Request transcripts be sent by your high school counselor to our Office of Admissions. An official transcript from any and all colleges and universities you have attended listing all work attempted to be sent direct to our Office of Admissions. Request separate transcript from each institution.
Incoming Freshmen
Students who have not attended a college or university and who are under 25.
$25.00 SAT /ACT scores Official transcript sent directly from your high school
Transfer Students
Undergraduates who have been enrolled as a matriculated student at a college or university.
$25.00 SAT/ACT (Required only if less than 30 semester hours have been attempted.) Official transcript (Required only if less than 30 semester hours have been attempted.) Official transcript sent from each institution at which you have been enrolled.
Non-traditional Students
Students who are 25 or older are considered 'non-traditional.'
$25.00 No Official transcript (If more than 30 semester hours have been attempted, only college transcripts are required.) Official transcript sent from each institution at which you have been enrolled
Former Students
Any student whose enrollment has been interrupted for a semester must be approved for readmission.

GED Students
Students who have attained a GED in lieu of a high school diploma

Non-degree Students*
Non-degree students are those who wish to take courses for personal enrichment rather than earn a degree through the College.

Dual-enrollment Students*
Students applying to take courses while still enrolled in high school are considered dual-enrollment students.
No. However, you must submit letters of consent from a parent or guardian and from high school principal or guidance counselor. SAT/ACT scores required. Official transcript required.

*Non-degree and dual-enrollment students are not admitted to a degree program, not eligible for financial assistance, nor assigned an advisor.
