Graduate Application

You can apply in two steps.


1. Create your account.


This step allows you to begin the Washington State University online application process and secures the information you will later send over the Internet. Your account also makes it easy for you to apply to other colleges that subscribe to CollegeNET services by automatically inserting your basic information (address, phone number, email, etc.) for each new application.

NOTE: If you have already established an account with CollegeNET, you may skip this step and use your established name and password.

2. Fill out and submit your application.


Once you have started your online application, you can save your work and come back to it later - even from a different computer. As you work on your application, be sure to have the following information:

  • U.S. social security number (optional)
  • Residency information
  • Name and location of all colleges and universities and dates of attendance
  • All degrees earned, or expected, and dates
  • Names, addresses, emails, and positions of three references (for letters of recommendation)
  • Credit card or electronic check information needed for payment.

Once you have finished the application, submit it along with your $75 payment. Your data and payment will be submitted over a secure connection. If you elect to apply to a second interest area for the same application term of admission, you will need to complete and submit a second application. The fee for a second applicaton for the same term will be at no charge. Any further applications beyond this second application will be charged the $75.00 fee.

Applicants for admission to WSU's Graduate School are required to submit documents and materials, such as transcripts, diplomas, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, supplemental applications, writing samples, and other supporting documents as part of their application. The applicant certifies that their application is true, complete, and accurate to the best of their knowledge and contains all of the documents required by the Graduate School and the applicant's program selection.

Dishonesty will not be tolerated in the application process. The submission of materials that are incomplete, forged, fraudulent, altered from the original, or obtained under false pretenses, is prohibited by Washington State University and any omission or misinformation may jeopardize the applicant's admission status and enrollment privileges and could result in revocation of the offer of admission.
